Higher Expectations For Your Future Digital Camera?

This article is about a digital SLR camera comparison, between four models: Nikon D40, Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xsi, Nikon D90 and Canon EOS 40D.

Obviously, for under $100 you will not get the best digital camera, or even the most decent one. Still, there are some models that can help you take some decent photos, as long as you understand that for this price you can’t be too picky.

One deterrent to online camera sales, has to be shipping prices. Consumers need to factor shipping into everything they purchase. Unfortunately, they also need to be concerned if there’s a problem that arise with any camera they purchase online.

Shipping expenses could easily double if the camera has to be sent back at the consumers expense. Check the return policy of any online stores you may be considering buying from.

If you don’t want the cheapest model around, and you ‘re looking for a camera that will take very good photos for an amateur, those that cost up to $300 give you a good range of models to choose from. Digital cameras that I can recommend are the Samsung NV10, the Canon Powershot SX100, Olympus Stylus 790 SW, Kodak Easyshare Z812 IS and the Sony Cybershot DSC W90.

You can also do action photos with it, since it can take 6.5 photos per second. The camera also comes with a sensor cleaner that is built in, Live View and an image stabilized kit lens that is optional. While the Nikon D300 offers similar performances, it costs much more than the EOS 40D.

Not to let any of this scare you off, as I believe buying any cameras online is a great way to go. Especially with all the digital cameras for sale you can find on the internet. And generally speaking the majority of online transactions go off without a hitch. No returns necessary.

If you want to take photos, the 12.3 megapixels insure that the quality is very good, and you can clearly see that it’s better than the D80 here. The shooting speed is 4 photos per second, which is less than the Canon 40D.
